Bill: Withdraw from Treaty 2
Details
Submitted by[?]: Antepec Independence Movement
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2334
Description[?]:
We feel that this treaty is an unwarrented foreign entanglement. Apart from Keymon, we are the only signatory to it. AIM is committed to larger 'collective security' arrangements. While we see the value of protecting Keymon, we have to ask what Telamon gets out of it? This treaty merely exposes us to obligations to come to the defence of Keymon without any significant enhancement to our defence. We urge the congress to seriously consider removing this anomoly from our defence commitments. We have previously tried to pass this act, but didnt quite get 'over the line' with several parties abstaining, so we shall try once more. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
