Message | While we wholly support the spirit of this bill we can't vote for it in its current form. From the employers' point of view the strikers will never have "reasonable reasons". The issue of sacking strikers is a matter between the employers and the unions. If an employer is prepared to accept the consequences they should be free to fire striking workers. As for article II, we feel workers that are CRITICAL to society should not be allowed to strike at all. |
Date | 21:57:13, December 23, 2006 CET | From | Redneck Party | To | Debating the Trade Union Act |
Message | Allowing any group of people to hold the people they work for of their own accord hostage is quite frankly criminal. Supporting strikes, and unions is the cries of the brain dead, and the morally bankrupt. |
Date | 03:49:05, December 24, 2006 CET | From | Casa Nostra Divina Party | To | Debating the Trade Union Act |
Message | We, the Casa Nostra Divina, in order to promote a more just and prosperous society for all our children, find all prospective strikes in our land to be unlawful, immoral and sinful. Without entertaining any doubt over a quality of our old legislation we call for the appropriation of more funds for the prosecution of those who go on strike and further sensible deliberation that will put into operation conditions more stringent to those who try to undermine the delivery of fruits being brought forth by our compassionate children who through their own hard work allow for a smooth functioning of our fiscal economy, public institutions and society as such. The heretics who do not try to redeem their mortal souls through work but who try to lead astray our faitful and laborious children should not have peace in our beautiful land but should have their alienable rights stripped away and be expatriated. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
