Message | Any subsidies are an intervention into the market, regardless of industry. Basic economics. Simply, subsidies mean that our farmers can sell their crops at a lower price than they could without. This means that poor nations, who can't afford subsidies, and their farmers are unable to effectively compete, simply because the playing field will never be level, let alone in their favour. |
