Bill: Curfew Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Royal Socialist Party of Hulstria

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2341

Description[?]:

The law currently states that the national government may impose a curfew, only if a state of emergency has been declared. This bill will change it so the local government imposes the curfew, only if a state of emergency has been declared. This will work out better because the local government knows more indepth the area, so they will know what time places such as restaurants and clubs close.

MessageAbsolutely not. It's bad enough that we allow our government to impose curfews, to let low-ranking politicians the same power is irresponsible. Hopefully if we ever were in the time of emergency the national government would discuss with local representatives the best way to impose a curfew - but the decision to impose it should never be devolved
