Bill: Civil Defense Bill of 2342
Details
Submitted by[?]: Front de Libèration du Kanjor
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2343
Description[?]:
Buildings need to include some sort of bunker/shelter in case of an air raid or attack on Kanjoran soil. A Nuclear war is possible with so many countries owning weapons of mass destruction and all it takes is one man to press that button, if Kanjor was ever involved in a war we need to make sure our citizens are safe. |

Message | The NCP disagrees with the PPK about increasing the defence budget, seeing PPK's suggestion just as an excuse for shifting more money from civil sector into armed forces. The Defence already takes 30 % from Kanjor's budget which is far too much regarding the fact that there isn't even serious threat about armed conflict. The GDP can't be taken into this consideration as we talk about state's budget, direct money which we can use on different sectors of the society. |

Message | actually GDP can be taken into account because that is how it is measured. If we used even %20 of our GDP on defense it wouldn't be alot. |

Message | Yes, it would. 1 in every 5 KRs spent simply on building a defence force is not at all good for the economy. Especially seeing as it will make us a target for nations threatened by our growing power, who will wish to stop us before we become too powerful. |
