Bill: Legalization of Marijuana
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socio-Captialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2345
Description[?]:
It is hypocritical of the government to legalize alcohol while restricting cannabis. Alcohol causes the same (if not more)amount of intoxication compared to marijuana. There will be no need for a slippery slope argument either considering that all other "hard drugs" will remain illegal. If a man/women can get drunk, they should also be able to get high. The other plus to this bill is that marijuana will be sold in state sanctioned shops and there will be a tax administered to the product. In turn, this will control the drug and slowly reduce the number of drug dealers selling it. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The recreational drug policy.
Old value:: Recreational drug use is forbidden.
Current: All naturally occurring drugs are legal.
Proposed: Recreational drug use is regulated by local governments.

Message | Oppose. If you drink one glass of alcohol you will not be intoxicated or drunk. If you take one hit of marijuana the effects of it will already take form and that means it is much more dangerous then a nice glass of wine. Jesus turned water into wine which is of course alcohol, I dont remember Jesus smoking a joint and handing it out to his followers. |

Message | The majority of citizens are NOT responsible with alcohol because the main intent with it is to get drunk. I have not met one citizen who just drinks one glass. It is usually several. Also, I don't remember Jesus hording in prostitutes for money (like in the earlier prostitution bill). |

Message | Jesus was forgiving and prostitutes were also given a second chance by Jesus, so the earlier prostitution bill is fine in my party's view. Claiming that citizens are not responsible while drinking is like saying the majority of citizens also like tea, we cant just make up facts without a proper poll. Yes I agree people like to enjoy life and getting drunk happens, except if they do get drunk and disrupt the public, they will be punished as Kanjor's laws are very strict about crime. |

Message | Even though Jesus forgave the prositutes, he didn't pimp them and make a profit off of them. Isn't greed one of the seven deadly sins? It looks like your party just broke that cardinal sin... I also assure you that if this law passes, the people who abuse the drug will be harshly punnished. If you forget about the lack of morals of making a profit off of marijuana, I'll forget about the lack of morals with making money off of prostitution. |
