Bill: Police & Military Cooperation Act of 2347

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Party of Dorvik

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2347

Description[?]:

During times of crisis, police can't always handle the most serious riots all by itself or can just hardly do it. Calling the military for help as a last resort would strenghten the security & stability of the country in uncertain & unstable times and spare police resources for the actual work, solving & preventing crimes.

Furthermore, deep cooperation between the police and the armed forces is especially significant when it comes to stopping illegal immigrants from getting into the country and smuggling of illegal & legal products (drugs, heavy booze etc), especially by the sea: the police have only limited resources for patrolling coast areas so the help from the military will be needed. Due to these reasons, we propose larger authorization for the co-operation between the armed forces & police in these areas.

* Edwin Price, Minister of Internal Affairs

Random quote: "Soldiers are not the enemies of the movement. They're potential allies. They're more than that. Soldiers are the only people in America who are paying a stiff price for this war. Everybody else profits. Soldiers are the ones losing their lives, losing friends, having their lives disrupted. The real victims of American imperialism are its soldiers." - Fred Gardner
