MessageWe would be in favor of the government subsidizing private enterprises that face bankruptcy. We'd rather not see the government nationalize failing industries. There are some in this government with a such a contempt for free enterprise that they would probably be willing to pass laws jeapordizing certain industries, just so they could use this law to make the industry state-owned.

MessageActually, we may have misread this. Or at least had a different take on it. We meant that the only companies that receive aid are those who provide vital services to the population and have gone bankrupt.
The industries are not nationalized rather they are subsidized to try and revive the buisness.
This may be removed due to the way it actually reads.

Messagewe would support this on the following conditions:

the definition of "vital" refers to industries that would ensure the safety of our people during wartime; examples would be: iron, steal, textiles and transport. we're willing to refine this based on further debate.

this law is passed on the condition that the industries that are failing receive support that is not simply monetary but goes into developing techniques to improve and expand the company.

MessageOur idea of support would be to ensure the smooth continued production of the needed product, whatever it is. This may result in the company being purchased by another, being reorganized and expanded, or just a subsidy to get through a short term glitch in the economy.

Vital industries' definition should include the needs of our citizens such as food, and shelter as well as those forming the base of our industry as listed above: iron, steel, textiles and transportation as well as telecommunications.

Again, these industries shall not be nationalized at anytime rather they will be aided in extreme situations such that these services can continue.

MessageHow telling that the FRP considers stealing to be a vital industry.

And how ironic that PP talks of supporting the food industry from which they recently removed government protection.

We support this bill as a first step towards full social ownership of the means of production.

MessageAs stated in the bill we only support the subsidization of industries which are failing.

In fact, the removal of forced collectivism can be seen as the first implementation of this bill. A reorganization of a failed buisness model.

MessageIf LibCom supports this, that is a good sign it is damning legislation that will only lead to complete government control over everyday life. This bill should be killed.

MessageObviously we no longer support this, since industry is now socially owned.
