MessageWe oppose; see our parallel bill for proposal. There is a huge difference the two fields. Until we are sure that what people put in their mouths is safe, only research should go ahead.

MessageOOC: This one has kinda crappy options. We would be most in favour of a labelling system. Anyway...

We would support this over the DS bill and would really prefer there was only one for convenience's sake.

MessageWe think that as GMC's will be more resistant to disease/insects etc. and will be engineered to have greater nutritional value at a cost much less than 'normal crops' they will be able to help many poor people.

Also normal food crops will become expensive only in comparison to GMC's as a result of their lower properties in hardiness etc. (harder to produce).

OOC: yes we agree with you LLP, also would like to see government regulation (as FDA).

MessageOn the basis that any regulation is better than no regulation, we will support this bill. However, we would like to more closely examine this issue at a later date.
