MessageWhat is with you two?

I'll remove Article 4 to pacify the PSF, but the MLP ought to tell us why they support nuclear proliferation and the world arms market?

MessageNuclear weapons can serve as a deterent... biological and chemical weapons by and large don't. They just suck.

As for arms, we have no issue with a legal arms trade. We also like our citizens to make $$$.

MessageThere are many ways to make money, arming countries with weapons to kill shouldn't be one of them.

Nuclear weapons don't serve as deterents when just one has the capability to cause health problems that would effect the whole world. Any sane country wouldn't even use one. Insane countries might, but they're not the ones who will be deterred.

If it would help to get this passed however, we'd agree to simply limiting our government's right to use these weapons under set parameters.

MessageNuclear weapons are an incredibly effective deterent and we would never vote for such a massive weakening on Telamon's international position. As for the arms trade, again, we don't have any problem with the legal ownership of guns by governments.

MessageI'm going to moderate the parameters for nuclear weapons because I see your point partially. However, I think it's time this gets put to a vote if other parties agree.

MessageArticles 2 and 4 I could have supported. Article 3, no because we need the ability to defend our borders from terrorists and others who would use non conventional means to attack us. This means taking action against them abroad where necessary in order to prevent attacks here. Article 1 I could perhaps have been persuaded to support, although i still think that research should be permitted in order to allow us to develop effective antidotes etc. to chemical and biological weapons in order to protect our service men and women. Article 5 we cannot support as arms exports (to allies) has always been a major source of revenue for Telamon
