Bill: Budget proposal for 2350-2352

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Party of Dorvik

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2351

Description[?]:

The Ministry of Finance represents following cuts & additions to budget:

* 500 Million from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from cutting foreign aid, closing some inactive embassies and cutting extra bureaucracy.

* 1,0 Billion from the Ministry of Finance as it don't have business support programs anymore as these have been mainly transferred for the ministries of Trade & Industry and Science & Technology, rest being ceased. Cutting off extra bureaucracy and turning the administration more effective will also save funding.

* 1,0 Billion cut from infrastructure & transport as waste disposal and energy facilities have been built and they are fully operative now. Furthermore, the road & rail network starts to be quite comprehensive now so there's decreased need for such investments.

* 2,5 Billion cut in health care & social services. The standard of living & employment has raised due to tax cuts, investment & enterprise subsidies, better education and more funding for economicly beneficial science & technology . Poverty has decreased and the society must truly motivate people to work instead of living out from state benefits. The cut would also mean reducing the amount of benefit and staggering the benefit according to person's own activity in looking for a job and time he has been unemployed. As the standard of living & employment has raised, more people have started using partially more effective & quicker private health care instead of public one. There's no need for extra resources for health care which is less used now and is already excellent.

* 1 Billion from the Ministry of Science and Technology from decreasing government's own projects and reduced need of subsidies for private enterprises.

* 1 Billion for the Ministry of Environment & Tourism for promoting & building more nuclear power in close cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure & Transport
