| There's no use for universal child benefit system which only causes unnecessary extra bureaucracy & expenses for the state. Families with decent income don't need child benefit (nor does it promote them to have children) which is the case with low-income families, many of them being large families as well. By means of prioritizing, the benefit could be raised for those who have actual need for it. There are many other budget objectives on which the extra money would be actually needed like Ministry of Environment & Tourism. * William Harper, Minister of Finance |

| Message | Although we think that providing benefit for large families will simply encourage people to have kids when they can't actually afford them. But it's a compromise I suppose. |
