Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:
Date | 18:18:10, January 29, 2007 CET | From | Socialist Party of Dorvik | To | Debating the Economic Regeneration, 2352 |
Message | We don't support Article 1, as it is too drastic. Article 2 is definite support and 3, we could. Our non-support for Article 1 outweighs the support for the other, so we vote no |
Date | 00:37:39, January 30, 2007 CET | From | Democratic Party of Dorvik | To | Debating the Economic Regeneration, 2352 |
Message | The Moderates cannot support any article as it would severely damage enterpreunership, spirit of hard work and individuality in this country, not to mention scaring off domestic & foreign investors now that our economy has been in good shape for years due to tax cuts and privatization means. These bills would lead us closer to socialism and we all know what that would propably mean: inefficiency, bureaucracy, wasted money and lack of investments & enterpreunership. We cannot afford that. |
Date | 02:36:12, January 30, 2007 CET | From | Green Freedom Party | To | Debating the Economic Regeneration, 2352 |
Message | We support 1 and 3, but oppose 2. Overall, we will support. |
Date | 01:54:31, January 31, 2007 CET | From | Democratic Party of Dorvik | To | Debating the Economic Regeneration, 2352 |
Message | First the Green Freedom Party supports "Railway Competition Bill of 2351" which privatized country's train services but now you support nationalisation of it? We wonder GFP's flip-flopping here and will to socialize country's economy which has been prosperous due to enterpreunership, individuality and investors, not because of the state. We hope that the other parties will vote against this bill as before the early elections, for the sake of Dorvik. |
Date | 01:56:33, January 31, 2007 CET | From | Democratic Party of Dorvik | To | Debating the Economic Regeneration, 2352 |
Message | OOC: I thought there were just those three original bills so I based my comment on that basis, sorry for inconvenience. |
Date | 01:57:36, January 31, 2007 CET | From | Democratic Party of Dorvik | To | Debating the Economic Regeneration, 2352 |
Message | OOC: The latter post was about criticizing GFP's stance on TOC's, not about the bill itself which we find apalling. |
Date | 02:27:30, January 31, 2007 CET | From | Green Freedom Party | To | Debating the Economic Regeneration, 2352 |
Message | Wait, wait wait - when we said we would support, only the first three proposals were in the bill. The last two are too extreme. Our vote is switching to a "no". |

Random quote: "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, from those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children." - Dwight D. Eisenhower |
