Announcement from the Government of the Beluzian Republic

This press message was released by the Government of the Beluzian Republic.

The Beluzian Republic would like to issue an apology to both the Dundorf Federation and the Endralonian Empire. We never meant to imply that there was any sort of standoff between your two countries.

The reason as to why your two nations were mentioned in our last press release was due to the fact that the Federated States of Rutania did mention you in their last press release, stating that both of your two nations did hold WMD's and yet our nation of the Beluzian Republic had only brought issue against Rutania. In response, we proclaimed that although we were concerned about your holding of these weapons since we share neither coast nor border with yourselves we do not feel immediately threatened.

As such we once again apologise to the Dundorf Federation and the Endralonian Empire for any misconceptions caused by our last press release and hope that any talks between us remain amicable.

A leak at a factory in Darali has caused thousands of litres of poisonous chemicals to be released into an important river. Environmentalists predict that the aquatic life in the river will be wiped out and it will take years to recover. The company responsible, CMU Inc., is a major member in the food sector of Darali and there are worries that a similar incident could happen in their other plants that exist throughout Deltaria. The company has refused to comment on the issue.

Announcement from the Government of the Beluzian Republic

This press message was released by the Government of the Beluzian Republic.

It has come to the attention of the Government of the Beluzian Republic that we have been accused by the Federated States of Rutania of attempting to interfere and influence the decisions of their Parliament. We would like to reassure the International Community that no such action has been undertaken by the Beluzian Republic.

Whilst under talks with the Federated States of Rutania for a non-aggression pact, the aforementioned Country passed in Parliament bills granting them the right to develop, store and research nuclear and bio-technology. We enquired as to why Rutania did feel the need for this and were rebuffed, informed that it was not our concern. However, when considering that we do share both a coast and a border with Rutania it is indeed our concern. We ourselves have, since the last Parliament, given up our WMD's and stopped research into bio-technologies to be used for aforementioned weapons, in-line with our Countrys' pacifist nature; and so pose no such threat to Rutania.

As for our non-stance upon the issue of both the Dundorf Federation and the Endralon Empire: while we will admit to being only aware of the one of these countries holding WMD's and bio-technologies; no action has been taken for a simple reason, we share neither coast nor border with either Dundorf nor with Endralon, as such, while we are indeed concerned by their actions. We do not feel immediately threatened by said actions.

We also protest over the accusation levelled at us by the Federated States of Rutania that we have been making raids into their state of Delvar. This is a fallacy. The Beluzian Republic has sanctioned no such raids. The Peoples Youth Squad is an illegal paramilitary organisation affiliated to the Peoples Populist Party and our police force is currently authorised to use necessary force to remove the Peoples Youth Squad. Although we apologise on behalf of Beluzia if the Youth Squad has indeed been making raids into Rutania; we highlight that these raids are not authorised by the Beluzian State or its Government.

Moreover, the Federated States of Rutania proclaims that they have no Weapons of Mass Destruction. This too would appear to be a fallacy since, as we are reliably informed, they have been passing proposals through Parliament and debating how these weapons could be launched. If they do not have these weapons why then do they feel the need to debate over their launch mechanism?

In addition, we have placed restrictions upon Rutanian vessels entering into our sovereign waters in order to be noticed by the aforementioned Government. When previously enquiring as to their reasons for passing their WMD law, we were met by no reaction; a reaction was only provided after we declared said embargo.

Signed,

Amber Nerdanel President of the Beluzian Republic
Callum Kincaid Prime Minister of the Beluzian Republic
Jade Ambrose Foreign Minister of the Beluzian Republic

New Year's Day 2091 Celebrations

An eventful year has come to an end. Looking back, we see that many people have reason to consider themselves fortunate - while many others can rightfully say that chance has not been on their side. The same is true of countries: we've seen good times and bad across the world. But, as we pass into the year 2091, the whole world is united in hope for the future. Will the new year be as good as the last? Or as bad? Or will our fortunes change? Those questions remain open, but this year, as always, their answers will often depend on the actions of our politicians and leaders.

Random fact: When elections in a country are held, all bills in the voting phase are reset to the debate phase.

Random quote: "I am interested in politics so that one day I will not have to be interested in politics." - Ayn Rand
