2923 STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS
By President Richmond Gardonn
Democratic Republic of Aloria
Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Alorians and members of the international community, good day. I am here today to provide a description of the current state of the Democratic Republic of Aloria.
In the last 8 months since I have taken over as President, we have been able to impose certain changes in the income tax and the budget. Now, middle-class and upper class Alorians have now been freed of the burden of the high income taxes by reducing the rates to more reasonable amounts. Now, they will be able to enjoy more of the fruits of their labor. Lower-class Alorians, on the other hand, continue to have the same income tax rate instead of increasing it to accommodate the tax cuts for the rich, thus ensuring that they will still have more income for their own consumption.
The budget has been successfully balanced with unanimous support from Parliament. Increases have been made in various branches that have long been looked down upon, such as Food & Agriculture and Environment & Tourism. But most of all, we have successfully increased the budget allocation of education from 11.0% to 18.8%. I believe that the best investment we could make in Aloria is education, and with education having the highest allocation in the budget, we shall do our best to provide Alorians with an education that can allow them to develop themselves, their families, their communities, and their nation.
Granted, the government's efforts towards a better Aloria were not without some sacrifices, but we will continue to do our best to make sure our great nation will move forward.
Thank you for your time and long live Aloria.Signed,
the Government of the Democratic Republic of Aloria
