This press message was released by the Government of the Democratic Commonwealth of Egelion.

We, the people of the Democratic Commonwealth of Egelion, also share the international concern with the rise of the National Socialists in Alduria. Announcement from the Government of the Most Serene Republic of Darnussia

This press message was released by the Government of the Most Serene Republic of Darnussia.

The new Darnussian Secretary-General, Kiteski Ladoka, would like to condemn those who commited the terrorist attacks in Darnussia this January during New Year Celebrations, and we call upon other nations for support in these difficult times.

We also offer our support to The Commonwealth of Luthori after the tragic school shooting in the Commune of Utagia. Our minds and hearts are with you.

These are most certainly difficult times, times of terrorism, violence and even fascism. We hope that all nations shall be united in such times, and our government calls upon all nations to unite against these evils, and hopes that the upcoming 22nd century brings better times.

Announcement from the Government of the Socialist Commonwealth of New Endralon

This press message was released by the Government of the Socialist Commonwealth of New Endralon.

As Head of State of the Socialist Commonwealth, I too voice my formal concern with the rise of Nazism in the form of the National Socialist Party of Alduria.

Where I hold back from denouncing the democratic choice of those Aldurians who voted for them, I fear like many that this brand of political extremism could well wreck great damage on Terra. I hope that the people of Alduria will realise the true character of National Socialism and return to more pluralist and frankly sane politics in the near future.

We will certainly have no business with the Nazis.

Signed,
the Government of the Socialist Commonwealth of New Endralon

Announcement from the Government of the Dundorf Federation

This press message was released by the Government of the Dundorf Federation.

The people of Dundorf have decided on a new path of economic and political freedom, moving away from the iron grip of communism and into the pragmatic realm of social capitalism, in which the government works to fill in the holes left by private industry, and people succeed because of, not in spite of, a large and vibrant public sector.

The Social Democratic Progressive Party is proud to lead Dundorf in this new direction. We welcome world leaders to join us as we build our social democracy.

Announcement from the Government of the Federal Republic of Kalistan

This press message was released by the Government of the Federal Republic of Kalistan.

To: The Aldurian Republic and the National Socialist Party Thereof

CC: The People of the World

The Libertarian Party of Kalistan, as the largest and current leading party of the Federal Republic of Kalistan, has recently come to the attention that the Democratic Socialists of the Aldurian Republic plan to change that country into a fascist dictatorship. As a party that suffered under a fascist coalition for a number of years, as well as an avowed party that wishes to collaberate for freedom and peace, we cannot allow this to happen. We will do everything we can to keep Seleya free of fascism.

According to our philosopies, we will not declare war on your country, or anything foolish like that, should this atrocity be carried out. However, we will impose diplomatic and economic sanctions, and we assure you that more countries will follow our example.

News Report

Citizens of Luthori were horrified as news came through of a shooting spree in a small school in the Commune of Utagia. Erica Anderson, a frustrated student fed up with school work, entered the school this yesterday morning armed with a gun and began shooting students and teachers indiscriminately. After killing 3 people and wounding 2 more, Erica Anderson committed suicide before being arrest by law enforcement. Former teacher Otto Harrison told reporters how the community was still in a state of shock and how this tragedy would haunt Luthori for years to come. Consul Karen deBelloroix has since travelled to the area to attend the funerals of the victims.

Announcement from the Government of the Endralonian Empire

This press message was released by the Government of the Endralonian Empire.

We would like to remind the Government of the Democratic Republic of Hutori that the rest of the world enjoys partying more than making daft points about a date system which like so many has no objective historical past.

We would also like to invite said cabinet to free therapy by our nation's most prestigious psychoanalyst, the world famous Dr. Feud, who is one man who sure knows how to "get down"!

(Don't rain on our parade, or we'll throw water balloons at yours!)

Chancellor, out.

New Year's Day 2100 Celebrations

An eventful year has come to an end. Looking back, we see that many people have reason to consider themselves fortunate - while many others can rightfully say that chance has not been on their side. The same is true of countries: we've seen good times and bad across the world. But, as we pass into the year 2100, the whole world is united in hope for the future. Will the new year be as good as the last? Or as bad? Or will our fortunes change? Those questions remain open, but this year, as always, their answers will often depend on the actions of our politicians and leaders.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
