Announcement from the Government of the Second Republic of Aldegar

This press message was released by the Government of the Second Republic of Aldegar.

From the Office of the Prime Minister of the Second Republic of Aldegar,

The President of the Second Republic of Aldegar has recently released a press release that opposes the institution of monarchy in this nation and the evolution to the "Third Nation of Aldegar."

While I have worked with the President myself and agree to the concerns expressed, such as those pertaining to the appointment of mayors and the "exclusively male" title of head of state, those concerns are rather petty and can be changed with little effort. Direct democracy can and should be restored, and the head of state shall be specified to not exclude the possibility of a Queen.

The real issue here is the end of the radical and unstable Second Republic of Aldegar and the creation of a successor state. The monarchy exists to preserve the freedoms that the People's Party and their President (as well as my own party) crave so dearly.

We ask for the support of the international community in this major peaceful internal transition and sincerely hope that the President will come to agreement with the benevolent intentions of the reformists.

Emir Bertalanic
Prime Minister of the Second Republic

Signed,
the Government of the Second Republic of Aldegar

Announcement from the Government of the Second Republic of Aldegar

This press message was released by the Government of the Second Republic of Aldegar.

From the Office of the President of the Republic
Second Republic of Aldegar

As President of the Republic I hereby declare my opposition to the current effort of installing a monarchy in the nation of Aldegar.

Furthermore, there are a number of other items in that bill which give cause for grave concern. The proposed appointment of mayors by the head of state is undermining local democracy, and, as a woman and feminist, I object very strongly against the eclusively male form of title that is proposed for the head of government.

I hereby express my hope that this proposal will be consigned to the orcus of history, where it rightfully belongs. Should it be successful, though, I will do my utmost to reinstall a democratic republic to the nation of Aldegar. I have been a republican all my life, and will continue to be so even under a monarchy.

Elmira Otunbayeva
President of the Republic
Second Republic of Aldegar

Signed,
the Government of the Second Republic of Aldegar

January 3048
New Year's Day 3048 Celebrations

People celebrate new year's day across the world. They have high hopes that the year 3048 will bring joy and happiness for all. The first day of January marks the end of a period of remembrance of the passing year. Television and radio shows all over the world have recalled the good times and the bad times of the year that has gone by. Everyone wonders: will the new year bring peace and prosperity, or will it bring war and poverty?

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with.
