Announcement from the Government of the Kanjoran Empire

This press message was released by the Government of the Kanjoran Empire.

The NFP requested that I, Foreign Minister Titus, announce the following:

Alan Reynolds retires from politics.

This being year 2122, see Alan Reynolds celebrating his 60th birthday. He did so last night in an extravagent Casino Hotel in Kanjo. Guests included all members of his Nationalist Freedom Party, which sustained most seats in the recent election, in which party Chairperson Seán Molony described as "Acceptable, a lot done a lot more to do." Other guests included many members from Right-wing parties over the World, especially from the "Right-Wing Party Association" of which Former President Reynolds founded. Other guests included celebrities as well as journalists from around the World. None of the main World News Networks failed to miss this prestigious event in which they thought, may be President Reynolds' last speach.

Other Guests included many top businessmen from around Kanjor, who were greatful for President Reynolds' constant attempts to de-regulate the market, reduce tax and red tape on business, protect indigenous firms and sustain progressive economic growth. During this speach he related to his constant struggle to make Kanjor an enterprising nation by speaking about the Casino in which his retirement party was in. "I constantly proposed motions to allow Casinos; and firstly we had to settle for lisences, then we legalised them nationally, then they were banned, then we settled for liscences; then we legalised them nationally; now we're back to liscences and now the NFP is proposing legislation to legalise Casinos again."

After a few games of Blackjack, a few games of roulette and a game of Bakarat, President Reynolds had a dance with his wife, Sarah Reynolds before sitting down to dinner with his all his friends, coleagues, associates and admirers from aroudn the World. Then is was time for him to make his Birthday speach....

The tall man, who you could see was old, but still had thick black hair, nicely groomed as usual walked up to the podium. He wore an expensive suit and walked as a leader, gestured like a leader and spoke like a leader.

"My fellow countrymen and friends,

Firstly may I thank you all for coming here today, despite the best efforts of the Kanjoran Peoples Party to prevent you coming here on time. Also I'd like to thank the Tangiers Hotel and Casino for hosting this very special event, despite the best efforts of the Secular Humanist Party to prevent them from doing so. - So, as you can see, I've made some progress and changes during my 22 year term as Leader of the Nationalist Freedom Party, which as a long and successful history, dating back to 2193, when our great President Seán Lemass formed the Nationalist Freedom Party. He had a second consecutive term in office, before tragically dying in a car crash in 2100 aged 68. So, I'd like to hold a minute silence in memory of our great founder... .... and me he Rest in Peace.

Since I took over the leadership of the Nationalist Freedom Party in 2101, it has a been a Rolercoaster ride! We went to war, for what he believed in and the nation of Kanjor was victorious. They sent me to face "war crimes" and the nation of Kanjor was once again victorious, because we are a great nation and don't know the meaning of the word "defeat" because it has never occurred to us. Since then I've led the Nationalist Freedom Party on a mission to de-regulate the market and allow business to be conducted in Kanjor in an enterprising atmosphere. Our success at this has been varied. during Conservative Governments we made huge progress, only for this to me reversed during Socialist Governments, however a lot of our work and success is still alive and there for all to see - this Casino for example. However I don't wish to bore you with a lecture on our history and successes, as they are all there in front of you to see.

This only leaves me on my 60th Birthday to announce my retirement. 'tis fast intent to shake all cares and business from our age, conferring them on younger strengths.

I have had the best life I could ever have asked for as leader of the NFP. I wish to thank all my fellow party members and all my friends and coleagues and family and esteemed businessmen and politicians from Kanjor and around the world who have always supported me and been there for me, even during times of weakness. I could never have done it without you.

I now look forward to my retirement with my beautiful wife, Sarah and wish the NFP the best of look in choosing my successor.

Thank you for your time and support and now I'd appreciate it if you joined me and my wife for some champagne...."

President Reynolds has been appointed "Honourary Life-Long President of the Nationalist Freedom Party" by the NFP front bench. He says he plans to continue serving as a Member of Parliament until he is 65 and he'll consider his future position in politics at that point.

It is not clear who will succeed President Reynolds. The Nationalist Freedom Party is to vote on the Leadership in the coming days and President Reynolds wil serve as acting-leader until then. Possible successors for Alan Reynolds include: Seán Molony, the party chairperson, who was alan Reynolds' right-hand man all through his leadership. Seán Molony is a lawyer, and was one of Alan reynolds' lawyers during the International War Crimes Tribunal, he was also acting-leader of the NFP while Alan Reynolds was in cusody and although he's been aroudn so long, is surprisingly only 45. Other possible candidates include Alan Reynolds two sons, Andrew Reynolds (35) an accountant with a clean interest in politics and also Dan Reynolds (30) who is was in the military for 6 years and is now a Financial Advisor. Long-term NFP Minister Páidí Ní Brúinn (who has beena Minister in ever NFP coalition government), (one of the few centrists in the NFP front bench) is also a possible candidate, as is one of the original founder Caoimhín O'Brinn, now the candidate for Infrastructure and was also a Minister and former Prime Minister and Leader of the Nationalist Freedom Party before Alan Reynolds' reign. He describes himself as "centre-right-wing". the only wmen in the front runing is the conservative Dr. Máire de Lucas, another long-term member as is the ultra conservative long-term member Brandy Ní Brúinn and the former right-wing Economics Minsiter of Kanjor- Eldowardo Hobbs.

Its going to be an interesting few days at the Nationalist Freedom Party camp in Kanjo, the outcome of which could shape the future of not only the NFP and Kanjor, but also the wider world because of this energetic, innovative, dynamic party.

Signed,
the Government of the Kanjoran Empire

Announcement from the Government of the Union of Quanzari Soviets

This press message was released by the Government of the Union of Quanzari Soviets.

Dear Capitalist Nations of the World,

The people of my dear Country have finally thrown off the yoke of Soviet Oppression. We enter a new dawn, a new world of Capitalism, where people do well on their own merits, and are not forced to be equal. There is no such thing as equality, people need to work hard to succeed, and the Soviet system meant that no matter how hard you worked, you were none the better.

Enough talk however. From this moment, all the Soviet Nation of the globe are considered hostile. All Capitalist, Conservative and Economically Liberal Nations should contact me for future diplomacy.

Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen.

Signed,
the Government of the Union of Quanzari Soviets

Announcement from the Government of the Free Republic of Dorvik

This press message was released by the Government of the Free Republic of Dorvik.

President Warns Deltaria Once More To Step Down

Quote:
As a representitive of the international community, as the Leader of a nation and as a human being I am appalled by the actions of The Deltarian Government. I must do what is best for my nation and also protect the interests of Selucia due to the treaty between our 2 nations.
Therefore as of November it is likely the Deltarian embassy in Dorvik will be closed, diplomacy has not worked it appears as the new worrying developments show. Furthermore I have, after consultation with my Defence minister and my advisors decided that as of November Presidential Directive #1 will be employed to counter Deltarian aggression. This calls for the possibility of Military action in coordination with Selucia to be considered an immediate option, I do stress this is just a possibility, I cannot take your questions but I have organised a TV conference with The Maroon Party, Socialist Freedom Party and the DSD so they can raise any objections.

As soon as the President had left the Long Time Defence minister Flt.Lt. Jim Marshall (viewed as many as the successor to London) took to the podium.

Quote:
As Defence minister I have begun mobilising the Fairfax Guards, Dorvan Howards and the Armoured Corps for immediate deployment to Ports around the country in the event of this situation turning rather nasty, I will be talking to Selucia on the possibility of stationing troops there in the event of a total breakdown of the situation. Furthermore I have Presidential permission to increase security at all Air and Army bases and the anti air batteries around the nation have been put on full alert. Thanks

Signed,
the Government of the Free Republic of Dorvik

Announcement from the Government of the Selucian Empire

This press message was released by the Government of the Selucian Empire.

We are sad to announce the HMS Uleroth was attacked and hit by torpedo. This is really an unfriendly act by the Deltarian military.

Further we have to announce our Air Denfense shot down a Deltarian spy plane over East Shadar.
This Imperial Province has a large Jewish population.
Pilot and crew are captured by our Military Police and accused of espionage and prepairing a military attack.

As reaction the Selucian Empire mobilised all military branches of the Empire. Our two carrier battle groups left their ports and are sailing South-West.
Our AA-Rocket Batteries will shoot down every none civilian aviation plane now.

Our negotiations with Deltarian politicans are hard and a lengthiness. This new situation will not help to solve the current situation.

The Selucian Empire_will_strike_back if neccessary !

Announcement from the Government of the Free Republic of Dorvik

This press message was released by the Government of the Free Republic of Dorvik.

It is with deep regret that President Timothy London makes this statement:

" The situation between Selucia and Deltaria has grown increasingly worrying, after a consultation with my advisors i have decided to ask the Senate to suspend operations in the Deltarian embassy (Fairfax) http://82.238.75.178:8085/particracy/main/viewbill.php
We urge Deltaria to hand over the Selucian prisoners and also for Selucia and indeed now Al'Badara to show restraint and patience, Thank You"

Signed,
the Government of the Free Republic of Dorvik

Announcement from the Government of the Selucian Empire

This press message was released by the Government of the Selucian Empire.

Today the HMS Uleroth had sonar contact with a submarine on her way back home 351 miles away from any Deltarian waters. The signatures indicate this contact as a Deltarian submarine.

We send a formal note to all nations in this area the Selucian Empire activated Navy and Selucian Air Force reserves as response. Also our strategic bomber regiments are in high alert.

We are also afraid one of our crew members is still in GuLag #1. This is unacceptable.

We closed also all trading routes and ports for Deltarian ships and airplanes.

The sychotically an paranoidal behaviour of the Deltarian politicans
