October 3649 Announcement from the Government of the Great Democratic Republic of Lodamun
This press message was released by the Government of the Great Democratic Republic of Lodamun. We, President of Great Democratic Republic of Lodamun, would like to communicate some details concerning the investigation of the death of former president Paul Spaak.
Autopsy has proven that mister Spaak was poisoned.
I also was subject to an assassination attempt which foiled thanks to the magnificent work of our police forces.
One individual was arrested and is being interrogated as we speak. We have found out that this individual does not have Lodamnese nationality, therefore it seems necessary to intensify the controlling of our national borders.
I hope politicians will be understanding and supportive regarding this measure.
Herman Devos

January 3649 New Year's Day 3649 Celebrations
An eventful year has come to an end. Looking back, we see that many people have reason to consider themselves fortunate - while many others can rightfully say that chance has not been on their side. The same is true of countries: we've seen good times and bad across the world. But, as we pass into the year 3649, the whole world is united in hope for the future. Will the new year be as good as the last? Or as bad? Or will our fortunes change? Those questions remain open, but this year, as always, their answers will often depend on the actions of our politicians and leaders.
