This press message was released by the Government of the Republic of Endralon.
In the Republic of Endralon yesterday:
A surprise press conference was called at Centralist Party headquarters, as a somber Head of the Justice Ministry Jonathan Buiton gave the following address:
"It is with a heavy heart that I am releasing this statement, for the fruition of all we oppose has come to pass. I have in my possession several documents which implicate several top officials of the Renewal Party, including the President, in corruption of the highest degree. It seems that in return for support of legislation granting the local governments more power and independence, said governments have granted bribes and kickbacks to these Renewal Party officials. The documents that have been brought to my attention are Treasury records from several states, indicating large payouts under the name of "legislative fees" to numbered accounts. These accounts were confirmed to me by my staff here at the Ministry of Justice to be belonging to several top party officials, as well as President Roger Brown Jr. himself. These crimes against the state are serious; tax dollars which could be used to improve the state of being in the States are instead being used to buy more power for local officials. I have been authorized by Centralist Party Chairman Collin Hames as well as Head of Government James Faldon to continue my investigation of these heinous instances of corruption and bribery, and rest assured, I will do so."
Head of the Justice Ministry Buiton refused to further comment after a flurry of questions.
Then, later:
After Head of the Justice Ministry Jonathan Buiton's statement yesterday, angry protesters gathered around the President's executive office, brandishing signs reading "Clean House!," "Give us our tax $'s back!," and "Down With President Brownoser!"
Similar demonstrations were to be found in various state capitals, as Endralon's citizens took to the streets demanding an end to corruption.Signed,
the Government of the Republic of Endralon
