Independent Telamon News Daily article:
A suprising poll today revealed that the popularity of Umberto Caccini, Leader of the Radical Party, is stronger among non-Radicals than amongst his own party.
The bisexual ex-Foreign Minister polled a surprisingly low 54% approval rating from members of the Radical Party, 14% lower than the 68% approval rating given by non-Radicals. This is considering that under Caccini, the Radicals have won 3 presidential elections and vastly improved in the legislative elections.
Conversely, Fieren Goldmark, Finance Minister and Deputy Party Leader, polled a massive 79% approval rating from Radicals, 10% higher than the 69% approval rating he received from non-Radicals.
It has been suggested that while the Radical Party has been successful under Caccini's leadership, many members of the Radical Party attribute these successes to the efficient and popular Goldmark. Many Radicals distrust Caccini's left-wing credentials, and his obvious distaste for the policies of Finance Minister Goldmark. Many Radicals fear that Caccini may only be riding the coat tails of his rival, and that with Goldmark as Leader, they could win a legislative election as the majority party.
Natalya Petrovskaya-Guillaume, two term President, has won a massive approval rating from Radicals and non-Radicals alike, 87% and 81% respectively. Perhaps Mr. Caccini has something to learn from his good friend, Madame Petrovskaya-Guillaume?Signed,
