This press message was released by the Government of the Tweede Republiek Vanuku.
The Foreign Ministry of the Tweede Republiek of Vanuku has drafted the "Convention on the Protection of Marine Wildlife" (CPMW), a new, broader treaty on the protection of marine habitats, which is meant to replace the "International Treaty on the Regulation of Whaling" (ITRW). We encourage all nations whose laws are in congruence with this treaty to promptly ratify it in order to pressage greater international cooperation and accountability in marine conservation. Additionally, the Tweede Republiek of Vanuku and other signatories to the treaty will continue to vigorously lobby those nations who statutes aren't in accordance with the articles of the CPMW to adopt such measures quickly and responsibly. Thank you for your gracious consideration.
Sincerely,
Hans Smit, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Tweede Republiek of VanukuSigned,
the Government of the Tweede Republiek Vanuku
