Transcription of part of the speech delivered by Anton Popov, head of the Communist-Kaminskyist Workers Party at the party's convention of October 3360:
" Today is the day when we draw the line. We have brought proseprity, freedom and justice to this country during times when the democratic institutions weren't simply working. They were stagnated, strangled by the tentacles of elitism. But we said "no more", and the people endorsed us. But now we face again a major threat. It did not take long for the Conservative Capitalists Party to crawl their way up to the parliament. It did not take long until they defied the rights acquired by the people. It did not take long until they got elected not through democracy, but through demagogy.
They have asked us to form a conjoint a cabinet, and look for common solutions to certain problems. We considered it. But now, the Conservatives finally turn their backs at democracy and deal the major blow to our society: they propose a cabinet shared with the Nasionale Duntrekker Front. This party's proposals have lately consisted on gender discrimination (e.g. "women don't belong in the military") and restriction of civil rights.
Today we draw the line, and we say: zero tolerance. Zero collaboration. Zero endorsement. The Capitalists had their chance to be decent, but chose their greedy interests instead. We will not contribute to a fascist agenda. And we will fiercely fight and reject whater they think is "right" to do.
Do not tell us we are the cruel extremists. Our party is a left-wing platform, and it is the house of every single leftist in this country, regardless of doctrine. This will be a long battle. Not lowered to the use of weaponry, but legitimated through the use of democracy."
Maurice Khwetshube, Minister of Science and Technology, one of the first two ethnic Ikpi ever to occupy a seat in a Saridanese cabinet, commented, at the end of the activities of that day:
"We need to put things in a simple perspective. We've done much for this country and its people: we can't lose it all like this. I can't find any logical reason to endorse this clearly extremely conservative coallition, nor can I see why anyone would. I subscribe to Popov absolutely..."
Maurice Haus, social-democrat Minister of Internal Affairs, known for his relative moderatism, said:
"The door was open for a collaborative, provisory centrist coallition to solve many of the problems caused by the old CUPA administration. What the CCP did was not only to turn away from the door they opened, but also to disrespectfully pretend it never existed."
