This press message was released by the Government of the Grand Duchy of Keymon.
"Amadee Savoy, who ruled Keymon from 2189-2208, has died. He was 73. The beloved leader, one of the most enduringly popular in Keymon's history, has been suffering from a degenerative memory disease for the past several years. Many of his followers described the infliction as a blessing, considering how Savoy's vision of a peaceful and free Keymon has been shattered by a recent communist insurgency. However, Rufio Carmichael, the acting leader of the Christian Democrats, refused to let anti-communist protestors disrupt the solemn state funeral.
Savoy outlived three other prominent Christian Democrat leaders: Blake Manlove, Jules Case, and Michael Rix, all of whom passed away over the last decade.
Algernon Phargle, 84, the elderly statesman and founder of the Christian Democrats, gave a speech at the funeral calling on Keymon to honor the memory of Amadee Savoy.
Countries wishing to offer their condolences may do so on Keymon's national forum. In lieu of traditional offerings of sympathy, donations may be made in Savoy's name to the Keymon Neutrality Fund."Signed,
the Government of the Grand Duchy of Keymon
