From the Likaton Convocation:
Press Release by the Conservative Liberal Party:
The CLP has decided to withdraw the motion calling for Likaton claim to Greater Likatonia. We accept the democratic will of the Convocation. Along with this we withdraw our motion of no confidence in the present leadership and apologise to any nation offended by our policy.
The Conservative Liberal Party maintains its views that the lands of Greater Likatonia rightfully belong to Likatonia. However on the behest of the CLP Deputy Leader and Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Howard Johnson, who is firmly against the idea of Greater Likatonia and against the parties association with fascists, a debate will be held at the party's national conference after the next election.
Howard Johnson is not a member of the Convocation Party having failed to gain a seat for the party in the Socialist stronghold of Meria. If he gains a seat in the next election, he will be able to propose the motion. This will be strongly opposed by the party President Robert Turner who is a firm believer in the project.
Robert Turner is of the far-right of the party, a former fascist and the main link between the CLP and LFFR. If the motion goes, he goes. If Howard Johnson fails to gain a seat for the Conservative Liberal Party in Meria, the motion will not go before the CLP Convocation team and it will remain CLP policy to strongly support the Greater Likatonia project with the possibility of this becoming a military proposal, having failed democratically.
Yours truly
Mark Lampard
Party Secretary

We hope that this goes some way to restoring the faith of other nations in Likatonian Democracy.Signed,
