Description[?]:
PEP values staunch civil rights advocacy in line with a progressive agenda, but has consistently maintained a centrist platform in regards to progressive issues such as euthanasia and abortion. It is resistant to government autocracy but favors larger government roles and left-leaning economic systems, including state management of important needs-based economic sectors such as utilities, mass transit, and health care while balancing this stance with carefully moderated free-enterprise policy. PEP lobbies for the transfer of excess expenditures in the defense budget back into social health and welfare programs. |
