Description[?]:
Democratic, socialist party. Our policies are: * political and economic democracy * a fairer distribution of wealth * protection of human rights * public ownership of natural resources, most public utilities, transport networks, and pharmaceutical concerns * free, universal public health and education systems * trade union rights * opposition to imperialism and war * opposition to racism and fascism About the other parties: * The Ducal Delegation is under the control of a hard-right aristocrat who promotes slavery. * The PLP is good on many issues, but in some respects too moderate and too tied to the capitalist status quo. * Novy Smer is good on a number of issues, but is slightly too authoritarian. * The Progressive Conservatives are to the right of ourselves but unlike DD, they are a respectable political party whose initiatives we can sometimes support. * The Libertarian Party has a curious record so far, having made the bizarre decision to support a law declaring the Grand Duke of Hirikena to be the greatest ever Aldegarian. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
Random quote: "The European Union and environmental advocacy groups use global warming hysteria to advance their own special agendas. The European Union recognizes any significant reduction in CO2 emissions by the United States will significantly reduce its economic output, thereby bringing it closer to the inferior output of European nations. Environmental advocacy groups work to stifle economic and industrial progress wherever they find it to inhibit the successful advancement of peoples in developing nations, inevitably making mankind a second class citizen of planet Earth." - Dr. Jay Lehr |
