Details
Nation[?]: Commonwealth of Lodamun (Lodamun)
Seats[?] in National Congress[?]: 0
Color[?]:
Description[?]:
The Country Party was formed in 2808 with the intention of representing Lodamun’s agricultural population in order to protect the interests of the rural community. Naturally the party has found some support amongst farmers, fishermen and other rural labourers, which should give it a significant enough constituency with which to get Members of Parliament elected at the 2812 national elections. However it is widely expected, as often happens with new political party’s in Lodamun, that the Country Party will benefit from a significant protest vote in national elections, which may even allow the party to get members elected in urban areas. The party follows a fairly pro-free market policy, although is even favour of protectionist measures to aid Lodamese farmers and industries. The party also follows a socially conservative agenda, putting it on the right of the political spectrum. However the leadership have noted they want to represent rural society as a whole and welcome all political views, but naturally the political conservatism of the countryside forms the mainstream opinion within the party. The party was renamed the Country Liberal Party in January 2812, just prior to the February elections, and Kathryn Turnball was selected as the interim leader of the CLP, to lead them into the election. == CLP Leaders == Interim Aug 2808 - Jan 2812 - William Jackson Jan 2812 - October 2812 Kathryn Turnball Official November 2812 - Kathryn Turnball - After the leadership contest of the same month, in which all 39 MP's backed her candidacy. == CLP Cabinet Posts == October 2812 - August 2814 - Prime Minister Kathryn Turnball - Food and Agriculture - William Jackson February 2817 - Finance William Jackson - Defence James Thompson - Education and Culture Karl Patterson - Science and Technology Jane Hopley |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
