During the Guerilla Warfare of the 3950's revolt by the Workers Party, the Republican government and military quickly fell into disarray. A skirmish in LUP held Lukaron involved the death of then party leader Lev Remenik, dead during a brief encounter between rebel forces and LUP-aligned militia. However, a descendant of the great Fournes legacy has appeared in Brīvībapils, Hukatai. Anthony Fournes has resurrected the family legacy LUP with a hardline stance on government action and rebuilding state security. The approach is likely to include the regular provisions of Likaton superiority, and the LUP has made its mission to once again unite the Likaton people. ***** ****** ****** The Likaton Vienotiba Partija (LVP) { Likaton Unity Party (LUP) } is one of the oldest political parties of Likatonia. It was formed in the year 3156 by Robert Fournes, a great leader who led the Likatonian people to many decades of strength, international recognition and peace. Robert Fournes led the Likatonian Republic out of the "dark years" where the Government was all but absent. In the 3156, our great nation was attacked by Kafuristan militants operating on behalf of their government in Majatra. In response, Likatonian President Robert Fournes enacted a safety emasure and peacefully detained hundreds of potential terrorists and trouble makers sent from Kafuristan. Innocent KAfuri immigrants were shortly released. After the refusal of Kafuristan to let Likatonia and the international community conduct an unbiased and independent review of the militant organization's influence on Kafuri government officials, the Likatonian Republic went to war with Kafuristan. Robert Fournes led us to a great victory, and made peace with the Kafuri people after many successful battles. ((Note: This might not be a completely accurate description of the events. Check out the Wiki at the South Majatran War for a more .... unbiased account)) The Likaton Vienība Partija shortly thereafter dissolved with Robert Fournes death. over the years since, many of his descdants have taken on responsibility with the Likatonian Republic. Now, another one of his descendants have brought back the LVP. Walter Fournes is the new Leader of the Likaton Unity Party and resembles that of his long-ago ancester Robert Fournes. Along with Walter in the LUP are his cousins Franz and Hanz Fournes, both active in their support for the LUP. With the return of the LVP to power, many are looking towards a renewed Likatonia. One that returns the basic peace and strength of 3156 to the new time. It is with this hope that the LVP sets off on its new standard and its new life. ********** After the election of 3363, the Likaton Venība Partija dissolved due to an unnecessity in the new Likatonia. Reforms to recreate a peaceful, involved and world-friendly Likaton population was largely successful. The LVP gave its friends in the cabinet a salute and disappeared from the political scene. Fast forward almost 100 years ... the Likatonia that the LVP helped found is no longer. Wars, conflicts, tensions and fights erupt globally over Terra almost monthly. And the problems don't end at our doorstep. Likatonia has been wrecked by crime, terrorism and fear. People of Likatonia have lost faith in the other political parties and moved away from the centrist view that has intoxicated Likatonia for centuries. And amongst this fear, the LVP has returned. However, the Likaton Venība Partija is not the same beast as it was before. Led by Gergoi Fournes, the LVP have reunited to face Likatonia's growing problems. However, the organization now has a more cult-like following than ever before. Members are sworn in and must give allegiance to Gergoi and the Likaton Karaviri Ceribu (LKC), a new paramilitary organization that holds survivalist views and maintains strict allegiances. The Likaton Venība Partija is back, and Likatonia has begun to notice. How will this unfold for the future of this great nation? ****** ******* ****** The year is now 3772, almost 650 years to the day that the first Unity Party was brought to Likatonia. In today's world, the politics of modern times threatens to once again destabilize the balance between safety and freedom. A group of former commanders in the Likatonian Speki, the Armed Forces, have come together to form the renewed Likaton Vieniba. After decades of political drought, the LV promises to bring back the issues that the people of Likatonia truly care about. They promise to keep ethnic Likatons first, to curb immigration, to increase the capabilities of our armed forces, to cut taxes reasonably and increase the economic might, and restore Likatonia to the Vairak Likatonia of old. The Likaton Vieniba will create a Likatonia that is Vairak and Veinib. It is time for Vairak Likatonia. ****** ******* ****** The year is 3952, almost 800 years since Robert Fournes originally created the Likaton Vienotiba Partija. For the people of Likatonia, much has changed since the LVP deformed almost 200 years ago. The nation is now ruled under a constitutional monarch, and High Chancellor. Parties have formed in revolt, including the Workers Party and various other factions. In this time of chaos for the Likatonia Republic, the militaristic stream of old-fashioned Likatonia once again flows throw the viens of true Likatons. The party has been refounded for the 3958 election campaign, and efforts are under way to begin the process of election work. Candidates are being recruited in every major city across the nation, and voters are being polled. The rise of the Likatonijas Valstis has begun. |
