ELECTION PROCEDURES OF UNITED BADARA

Registered members of United Badara voted for a Chairman/Vice Chairman ticket.
Registered members additionally voted for a Party Representative for their district.

Each of Badara's five regions is composed of twenty districts. The Party Representatives are in charge of United Badara operations in their district and all 100 Party Representatives of Badara compose the Electoral Committee of United Badara. The Party Representatives help bring attention to local issues that may be otherwise overlooked in national politics.

The winning ticket for the United Badara chairmanship appoints citizens to the various posts of the Central Committee. Through a two-thirds majority, the Electoral Committee approves each appointment. Through a two-thirds majority, an individual can hold more than one post, though this usually only occurs for the chairman or vice chairman. The elected chairman may appoint a citizen to the Central Committee from outside the Electoral Committee, but this must be approved by a two-thirds majority from the Electoral Committee.

INTERNAL FACTIONS

** Badaran Patriotic Front **

The Badaran Patriotic Front is an anti-Vanguard, liberal faction of United Badara. It is the largest and most prominent of UnB factions.

The Front was founded on September 10, 3370 by Minister of Finance Mehmet Aksoy and former Minister of Justice Iskandar Nasri. The organization is headquartered in Bab al Mira.

Angered by the increasing polarization of the Vanguard ideology towards more radicalism, the Patriotic Front was founded as an anti-Vanguard wing of United Badara. The Front seeks to remove Vanguard ideology from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Badara (DSRB) and to re-establish the Badaran national identity.

After the dissolution of the radical Vanguard and Jalal Al-e-Ahmad's condemnation of the radicals, the Patriotic Front opened up to cooperation and dialogue with the Red Vanguard Society. This then led to the uniting of the Patriotic Front with the Loyalists.

The Loyalists of United Badara stand by the idea that the Vanguard State can be moderated and exist alongside liberalism. The Loyalists remained committed to Jalal Al-e-Ahmad and respected the Red Vanguard Society during the radical period, despite the Patriotic Front's distancing from the RVS.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.

Random quote: "Without opposition there is no politics." - Alun Daffys, former Alorian politician
