Description[?]:
인기있는 행동 (Ingiissneun-Haengdong) Popular Action Party Partido de la Acción Popular The Popular Action Party is a centre-right political party in Dankuk. It was founded in 4139 by a group of free market intellectuals, representatives of small&medium sized enterprises and professionals' organisations. It was founded primarily in reaction to the long established social corporatist economic model. Over time however the "old forces" of protection, conservatism and nationalism took over the party and by the mid 4150's, the PAP was considered to be more of a national liberal party. IDEOLOGY - National liberalism - Meritocracy - Non-interventionism - Dovanian values - Social conservatism (minority faction) LEADERSHIP Chairman: Mariano Lee Chong Secretary-General: Rhys Yates Floor Leader: Ryu Dae Moon STRUCTURE FACTIONS The party's generally united in its economic platform, with a few exceptions such as free trade and monopolies law. It is however much more divided on social and cultural issues, with several faction holding divergent views, particularly on the thorny issue of immigration. The great faction is the national liberal faction which is also economically liberal, with a few exceptions such as trade and monopolies. It is nationalist and rejects what it views to be the once dominant market liberals' lack of patriotism. A large conservative faction is also to be found and is hardly distinguishable from the national liberals except for its ever less liberal economic policies, favouring old school corporatism. Small market and social liberal factions are also represented in the party. LIST OF CHAIRMEN Park Yoon-dae (4139) Ahn Jae-Sung (4139-4146) Lee Bo Kwan (4146-4154) Mariano Lee Chong (4154-present) |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
