| Founded in 3481 as the Kizenian Bey Party, a party which strived to bring Kizenia under a type of religious law, the party became very popular very quickly due to its opposition to unpopular policies by the Liberal Socialist Party. After becoming the sole executive party in Kizenia in the 3486 elections, the Kizenian Bey Party rigorously cut government budgets after doing away with most government bureaus. In April 3487, a mysterious coup happened in which the party's headquarters - and soon all government buildings - were briefly taken over by men who arrived in black cars wearing military uniforms. They proclaimed that the party was to become the Bordrian Party. Speculation soon started; were the Bordrians not a mysterious people from another nation who lived under the brutal regime of the world's last fascist dictator? Soon after the coup, many of the old Bey Party's prominent members started disappearing, only to be found blindfolded and dead in abandoned houses weeks later. They included former Party Secretary Tachoum Al-Yaseem (lived 3441-3487, served 3481-3485), and the Grand Cleric Ahmed ibn Qasaabi ibn Tatar (lived 3398-3487, served 3481-3487). It soon became clear that the Kizenian Bey Party - and with it, the government of Kizenia - had fallen prey to a foul plot by a foreign power to bring the nation under control. However, the electorate turned out to be not at all hostile to a party that promised growth, jobs and security. In July 3494, another coup occurred in the party - this time bloodless. It was taken over by Zyldavian nationalists. |
