The Labour Party is a left political party in Alduria. The party has been described as a broad church, containing a diversity of ideological trends from strongly socialist, to more moderately social democratic. The Labour party caused a high upraor in Alduria. Many young people flocked to become members of the "Party of a New Era". The rise of the Labour Party has been called a "New Turning point for Alduria." Because of the parties huge success it has caused a disturbance in the once powerful Liberal Party of Alduria, the Labourer's biggest foe. But over the past years both parties have come together in means of a coalition government to create a new and better nation. In the general election of November 3500, the Labour Party became the largest party in Alduria, receiving 149 total seats in Parliament. In the general election of September 3502, the Labour Party remained Alduria's largest party, receiving 201 total seats in Parliament. In the general election of December 3504, the Labour Party remained Alduria's largest party, losing only two seats in the election. In the general election of May 3506, the Labour Party remained Alduria's largest party, losing 41 seats in the election. The current leader of the party is Prime Minister De'Vante Montgomery. |
