Description[?]:

ULTRANATIONALIST CONSORTIUM
The Ultranationalist Consortium was reformed out of the National Consortium following the assassination of King Augustinius and the rise of King Christian. The pro-Republican leadership of the NC was arrested following the radical changes made by Christian, and new handpicked successors were chosen to lead the Saridani pro-business party. The new Consortium is now focused on expanding foreign resource acquisition, arms development, and intense economic expansion.

NATIONAL CONSORTIUM (de facto)
Following the collapse of all major parties in Saridan during the '60s, a consortium of Kaap and international business interests intervened to avert civil war and prevent a regional economic meltdown in 3569. National Consortium Chairman Arthur Van Kann was elected the first Director-General of the interim government and oversaw the drafting of a new constitution. A temporary Board of Governors quickly transitioned to a National Council of Governors, which became Saridan's new parliamentary body. Several hard-line social issues were tempered under the first National Consortium government, while the right-wing free market policies were largely left unscathed. In 3575, the Verenigde Werkers Party defeated the Nationaal Coalition and replaced the right wing flat tax policy with a left wing progressive tax system. 3580 saw the return of the Nationaal Coalition to power after lackluster policy initiatives by the VWP - Arthur van Kaan was reinstated by his party as Directeur-Generaal. 3581 saw the collapse of the VWP, and the new opposition forming to the Nationaal Coalition was the Monargiste Alliansie, a Saridani monarchist faction. The flat tax was reimposed and several VWP initiatives were rolled back under the new Nationaal Consortium government. 3586 saw their defeat again at the hands of the new Monargiste Allianse, and conceded to the restoration of the Saridani monarchy. Augustinius I was proclaimed King in of June 3587, with the Nationaal Consortium supporting the King's accession to the throne with guarantees that Arthur van Kaan would continue to act as Directeur-Generaal under the new MA dominated govenment. Despite the political alliance, the MA has continually dominated recent elections and generally maintained a super-majority in the Nasionale Kongres over the Consortium. With the assassination of King Augustinius, the National Consortium was overtaken by the right-wing clutches of the fascist King Christian. Former Director-General Arthur Van Kaan fled the country with Christian's sister, Gertrude, whom he claimed was the rightful heir the Saridani throne.

Political Ideology: Laissez-faire capitalism, socially neutral/apathetic (leaning towards slightly progressive)
