Description[?]:
The Enlightenment Party is a liberal conservative and reformist political party in Barmenistan, founded by cabinet members and legislators affiliated with independent former President Imran Shahrán. The Enlightenment Party supports a market economy and industrialization, and aims to reduce the corruption that has plagued Barmenistan for centuries. The party is also open to religious democracy, courting Felinist, Ahmadi, and Hosian Democrats while remaining committed to a secular Republic. The Enlightenment Party was founded in August 4351, after the defeat of former President Shahrán in that year's election, and as such largely continues the reformist and anti-corruption platform of the National Solidarity Party, Shahrán's main legislative backers. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
