Description[?]:

The Republican Party is a political party in the Selucian Republic following the ideology of Civic Republicanism, a modern political ideology deriving from ancient Classical Republicanism. Defining itself in opposition to both Liberalism and Communitarianism, Civic Republicanism is based on the ideal of liberty as the highest good, which it defines as non-domination and independence from arbitrary rule, rejecting the understanding of liberty as non-interference. The Republican Party thus promotes a system of citizenship based on the Republican institutions of the rule of law, checks and balances, and civic virtue, in a political and economic system based on and consistent with "Mos Maiorum" (tradition) but not bound by it.

Founded: November 4367
Praesides: Caecilia Bousaid and Cyprianus Tiburtius Numitor
