Description[?]:
The Konfederacio Nacia de la Laboro( National Confederation of Labor) is an Anarcho-Syndicalist Industrial Union/Political Party and is one of the oldest political organizations in Zardugal. The party formed originally under the name of the Federacio Anarquista de Zardugalo(FAZ) which quickly became one of the main parties of the Zardic Left. However, in the aftermath of an attempted overthrow of the Zardic State with several other radical groups the FAZ was forced to reform as the National Confederation of Labour, taking a far more syndicalist position(and arguably at times social democratic opportunism) under the leadership of the ethnically Trigunian Mikhail Slobanosov. After a second attempt at the overthrow of the Zardic State during the Zardugal-Vanuku war Mikhail Slobanosov was forced to flee to Trigunia where he formed the Trigunian section of the KNL, the KNT. The KNT proved short lived however as it collapsed after the death of Slobanosov. The Zardic KNL in the meantime continued to operate without a parliamentary wing. Eventually the KNL reformed with a more distinct agricultural branch as the New National Confederation of Labour- Federation of Revolutionary Agricultural Workers(NNKL-FRAL). The NNKL-FRAL became one of the leading forces of Zardic antimonarchism as an attempt was made to recreate the old Augustan Throne. On the eve of the Zardic Civil War the NNKL-FRAL formed a confederation of all radical leftist groups in Zardugal (aside from the People's Socialist Party) to form the Confederation of the Republican Left(KRM). The KNL reformed back into itself once the civil war was over and has since formed as the KRM briefly, and has since split from the KRM due to old lingering disagreements with some of the smaller groups. The Confederation as it is colloquially known when not being refered to as the KNL has a highly decentralized leadership structure based around the Central Committee. The members of the Central Committee are elected by the State delegations and are instantly recallable. The State delegations are themselves elected from the Union locals who organize everyone from tenants to the unemployed, and are similarly delegates rather than representatives. Factionalism is not particularly prevalent in the KNL, but it exists in the split between the "Radicals"( who are sometimes refered to as "Maximalists" or "Opportunists"; this faction also includes the individualists and a small, secretive, section of illegalists who are officially disavowed by all members of KNL ) who seek the immediate overthrow of Capitalism and the State, and the "Federalist Revolutionaries" who seek radical reforms till an eventual distruction of the State(sometimes refered to as "Moderates"). The party is united mainly in its support for the democratic ownership of industry and radical industrial unionism and generally in its support for the decentralization of political power(to the point of historically supporting the assigning of military power to local governments). The party is also united in its support for oppressed minorities and female liberation. |
