Description[?]:
It is time to give power to the people. Direct democracy is now plausible and should be the aim of any democracy. Libertarian Citizens aims at giving the voters the chance to vote more, to get more involved. Voting for Libertarian Citizens is voting for yourself! In order to achieve this, we need to get as much support as possible, from the young and the old, from those who want more involvement and will not simply expect parties to solve their problems. We propose: A change in government officials' salaries: those in power shall earn as much as those who put them there in the first place! This is the only way to ensure prosperity. A change in the military service: only those who wish to enlist will do so. This is the only way to ensure quality in the army and in the rest of society. More power to regions: we believe in individual freedom more than in anything, and regions are made of individuals, as much as nations are made of regions. The freer the region, the freer the individual, the freer the nation! More involvement of people in the up-keeping of public order: limiting police power means involving people, making citizens responsible for their own actions, with a stronger judicial power and a nation that backs their citizens. Introducing EduNation: high quality, fully-subsidised and non-compulsary education for all citizens. |
