Description[?]:

The Labour Party was formed in May 4052 as the Kalistani Free People's Movement. It's goal was to promote a new perspective. encourage debate over commonly accepted viewpoints in Kalistan and connect like-minded individuals so that they might work together. The Labour Party has adopted a platform which can be summarised as being economically Socialist, favouring state ownership of strategic industries such as energy, agriculture, transport, health and education; but socially Liberal, promoting individual liberty and freedom over repressive government dogma.

For a brief period, the Labour Party merged with the Socialist Party of Kalistan (SPoK), with whom they had previously had an electoral pact, to form 'Left Kalistan'. However, this project was short lived and the Labour Party returned in the late 4110's. Colloquially, the party is often referred to simply as 'Labour'. The party dissolved following accounting issues in 4183.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. The [Socialist Party] has lost.

Random quote: "I worked at a factory owned by Germans, at coal pits owned by Frenchmen, and at a chemical plant owned by Belgians. There I discovered something about capitalists. They are all alike, whatever the nationality. All they wanted from me was the most work for the least money that kept me alive. So I became a communist." Nikita Khrushchev
