Description[?]:

The philosophy of our great Party is that of social democracy. Social democracy is a socio-economic and political construct.
The social dimension of social democracy is grounded in the principles of social justice; equality of opportunities but necessarily of outcomes; fairness; human dignity; fundamental rights and freedoms; an absence of discrimination on the basis of race, political or religious beliefs, class, origins, sex or associated groupings; the belief that we are not better than anyone, but no one is better than us; and the privacy of family life.
The economic dimension of social democracy rests on the individual right to property, the pursuit of just economic rewards for labour, collective or cooperation action where necessary and desirable, and the building of a harmonious economy of growth and development through the private sector, the cooperative sector and the State.

The Party was founded by Dr. Roosevelt Ferdinand in 4144, who has a BSc in Political Science and Law, MSc in International Trade and Policy, MSc in Administrative Law and Policy and a PhD in Disaster Management and Sustainable Development.

Co founders of the party are also Dr. Ralphe Gonsalves and Mr Owen Arthur.

Dr Gonsalves has attained over the many years a BSc in Economics, MSc in Government and PhD in Government while attaining his LLB in london and has practiced law for many years. While Mr Arthut has a BA in Economics and History and a MSc in Economics

These men are visionaries and the backbone of the Unity labour Party. it is because of their skills in politics and governance that in such a short space of time as a young party, they took control of the National Assembly by winning overwhelmingly in the 4146 elections and has increase its voter share in the legislative assembly after the 4150 elections even though it lost the majority in that assembly by 4 seats but nevertheless it saw Dr. Ralphe Gonsalves elected as Head of State. It saw the party totally reshaping the socio-economic and political landscape of Malivia by increasing seats in parliament, enacting a separate head of government and state, increasing adult age and promoting a sustainable economy and the recognition of same sex and interracial couples and marriages,
