• Free Dranland is a liberal society in which all religions, races and linguistic groups can live side by side in freedom and prosperity
• Man and woman are equal in Free Dranland in every possible way
• The economy of Free Dranland is a moderate free market, in which private enterprises and government companies work side by side under moderate legislation
• The economy of Free Dranland is a thriving green economy that focusses on technological development and innovation for an ecological future
• All citizens of Free Dranland pay taxes, but can profit (if need be) from a good, high-quality educational system, health care system and security apparatus
• The government will be open and transparent to the citizens of Free Dranland

PARTY HISTORY:

The SDA was formed in 4180 to combat racist extremism and dictatorial tendencies in the national political arena. In the Elections of 4181, the SDA did not gain seats. However: 36.000 people voted on the party, a sign that change was needed. The SDA resisted the racist cabinet that was formed, and vowed to continue gaining momentum and seats in Parliament.

The SDA was able to pass the Paramilitary Restriction Bill (PRB) in 4183, curtailing the power of militias in our nation. During the elections of 4185, the SDA gained 20 seats in parliament. The SDA began proposing reform bills, including a withdrawel from the Constitution of the Great Kyo Empire, to pave the way for more democratic reforms. This important victory was achieved in January 4186. After that, the SDA began launching Bills to reform the nation towards a more democratic base. The SDA was able to pass the Forest Management Bill, in which the planting of new trees became regulated by a government body. Also, the SDA campaigned for social reform, contraceptive funding and military reforms.
The SDA opposed the GNP-minority government and attacked the Conservatives for trying to enact fascist reform. In 4193, after both the Republican Party and the National Revolutionary Front collapsed, the SDA succesfully called for early elections. After winning 45 seats, the party negotiated with Labour and the GNP to form an left-right coalition. The SDA thus for the first time in history became a coalition party, controlling four ministeries.

During the first government period (4195-4199), the SDA was able to help pass the Paramilitary Ban Act and the Daily Working Hours Act. The SDA also proposed enforcing moderate pollution restrictions on companies and supported legalizing Abortion during the first tremester, even though coalition-partner GNP blocked that Bill from passing. In 4196, the SDA was able to pass the Pollution Regulation Bill, in which pollution guidelines became enforced by the government. The SDA was aso able to pass a Bill in which low-income farmers were compensates by the government.

In 4198, the SDA gained 62 seats, becoming the second party of Dranland after the PAP. The SDA also won the Presidency in the person of Jon Lee Scott. Stephen Mayar of the SDA became the new Prime Minister in the first centre-left cabinet of Dranland history, forming a coalition with Labour and the National Conservative Party. The new coalition quickly enacted major reforms, pushing forward the Agricultural Reform Package (SDA), the Whaling Bill (SDA) and the National Curriculum Act (Labour). In 4199, the SDA and Labour together has a majority in parliament because the Popular Action Party broke up. The two parties quickly presented major reforms, transforming Dranland from a market-liberal state towards a social-liberal state.
