Description[?]:

The People's Liberation Army (PLA) was formed in 2229 to thrust the people's voice into a government dominated by two parties and aristocracy.

The PLA's first leaders were: Gervasio Antonio de Posadas, the PLA General; and Carlos María de Alvear, the PLA Lieutenant General.

Senior Generals included: Juan José Viamonte, PLA Major General; and Antonio González de Balcarce, PLA Brigadier General.

An advocate of social policies, the PLA wants to give the government to the people! The Revolution is just around the corner and soon Sekowo will be owned by the people.

In 2231, a Lieutenant within the PLA, Vicente López y Planes, was appointed Minister of Health and Social Services within the Frene Administration.

In 2239, Gervasio Antonio de Posadas was arrested for trespassing on the Head of State's Palace after a party protest against election fraud. He died shortly thereafter in jail under suspicious circumstances.

Carlos María de Alvear was promoted to PLA General, Juan José Viamonte to PLA Lieutenant General, Antonio González de Balcarce to PLA Major General, and Juan Martín de Pueyrredón y O’Dogan to PLA Brigadier General.

In 2240, Health and Social Services Minister Vicente López y Planes was replaced by General Manuel Dorrego as Vicente wanted to be more involved with the party. Two other Generals were appointed within the Frene Administration: General Juan Manuel de Rosas as Minister of Education and Culture as well as General Justo José de Urquiza as Minister of Environment and Tourism.

In 2245, the PLA became the largest party in the Council of Peers with 269 seats.

Two years later, PLA General Carlos María de Alvear's transport helicopter crashed on the way to a rally. Many claim it was shot down by Majatran forces. Juan José Viamonte was promoted to PLA General, Antonio González de Balcarce to PLA Lieutenant General, Juan Martín de Pueyrredón y O’Dogan to PLA Major General, and José Rondeau to PLA Brigadier General.

In 2249, General Juan José Viamonte was assassinated by a Drake Party sympathizer after discussing the cabinet lockout situation that afflicted the SRLS and PLA. Antonio González de Balcarce was promoted to PLA General, Juan Martín de Pueyrredón y O’Dogan to PLA Lieutenant General, José Rondeau to PLA Major General, and Juan Pedro Julián Aguirre y López de Anaya to PLA Brigadier General.

Shortly afterwards, Vicente López y Planes, Juan Ramón Balcarce, and Santiago Derqui were appointed to Minister of Defense, Health and Social Services, and Food and Agriculture, respectively, within the Blanchard Administration.

In 2251 & again in 2260, PLA General Antonio González de Balcarce was elected as Presidenté. In 2266, after victory was proclaimed for the People, all Sekowan Ministries were installed with PLA personnel.

In 2267, Balcarce was voted out of power amid allegations of election fraud against the reformed Sekowan Revolutionary Liberal Struggle. The PLA Ministries fell in 2272.

Random quote: Henceforth, the current system of first and second class stamps, where the rich can pay to have their mail delivered faster than the poor, shall be BANNED. There shall be only one class of mail delivery, and ALL mail shall travel at the SAME speed for EVERYBODY. There can be no class discrimination in the People's Post Office! There must be the SAME class of mail service FOR ALL! ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party
