Description[?]:

The Zhtál-Merlkai Tjarziprta (ZMT) is a conservative and royalist political faction in the Kingdom of Vanuku's Grand Council. It was formed by Prince Aldrkai Banmek-Sntazed-Zhtál, the grandson of late Queen Agzé and Duke Jebr Zhtál, who returned to Vanuku in 4615 following the fall of the communist regime.

It is based on the original Zhtál-Merlkai Jezhrjekai Prta founded in 4387, which went on to dominate Vanukean politics for three centuries.

Like its previous incarnations, the ZMT is funded by the powerful Zhtál-Merlkai dynasty which controls a number of aristocratic estates and titles in Vanuku, including the Duchy of Vrkzel and the Viscounty of Havendam.

The political faction is anti-republican, anti-communist, militarist and a strong proponent for paternalistic conservatism (where the privileged and wealthy have an obligation to support the poorer parts of society).

Headquarters: Vrkzel, Skrovestes. Founded 4616
Current Leader: Viscount Hynrk Zhtál-Merlkai of Havendam (heir to the Duchy of Vrkzel) 4627 -

Previous Incarnation:

The Suadja Mrjogadé Shlajofitojafmorzi (New Conservative Front Party) is a national and socially-conservative party in Vanuku.

Its predecessor the New Royal Front (SKS) seized control of the country in 4473 and established order by suspending democracy and creating a one-party state.

However, in the late 4780s a series of reforms were enacted enabling other parties to once again register. The party was reformed in 4514, replacing 'Royal' with 'Conservative' in its name after a dispute with the Monarch and to reflect a more democratic society.

The SMS is sponsored by the aristocratic house of Zhtál-Merlkai who have played a substantial role in Vanukean politics throughout the last two centuries and have marriage ties with the royal family.

As well as being conservative, the SMS believes in Hosian-led religious values and strong military and law and order policies. It is also pro-constitutional monarchy, authoritarian and anti-communist.

Current Faction Leader: Prince Dytrik Kspar Zhtál (4544 -)
Faction Founded - 4483
Headquarters: Vrkzel, Skrovestes

Previous Leaders:

Duke Kspar Nohsrmko Zhtál (4483 - 4496)

Baron Dnkai Könnyrahe (4496 - 4513)

General Andrj Zhtál (4513 - 4514)

The Zhtál-Merlkai Jezhrjekai Prta (Wrnukék) or Party of the Noble House of Zhtál-Merlkai (Luthorian loose translation) is a conservative, reformist movement.

It focusses on the belief that whilst societies should exist and develop naturally, the privileged and wealthy have an obligation to support the poorer parts of society (paternalistic conservatism). The party also supports a constitutional monarchy in which the hereditary sovereign exercises authority as part of a legal framework established by a free and fairly-elected legislature.

It is funded by the influential aristocratic house of Zhtál-Merlkai, and attracts the core of its support from the clans that originate from the Banmek tribe, that predominantly settled in the north of the country. As a result, many supporters tend to be Hosian in their religious belief and many, particularly in the far north, still speak Vanukeaans as either their primary or as a secondary tongue, despite its relegation from official language status.

Previous Incarnation:

The Rekvaknsé Prta (Wrnukék), Republikeinse Partij (Vanukeaans) or Republican Party (Luthorian) - is a politically centre-right movement that was instrumental in bringing about constitutional change to abolish the long-established monarchy in favour of a democratically-elected head of state.

It was born out of a groundswell of support from middle ground voters who felt under-represented by the politics of the now defunct traditional party of the nobility - Jezhrje Knstatak Prta (Greater Nationalist Party) - and the far left anarchists and libertarians.

Its main aim now is to safeguard the republican constitution and help Vanuku to flourish under the new system.

In the current system, the party is associated with the noble house
Zhtál-Merlkai (Maes van Zalder) which provides support including financial donations.

Support
The majority of the party's supporters come from the various clans who originate from the Banster (Banmek) and Traster (Trmék) tribes. They tend to be Hosian in their religious belief and speak Vanukeaan as their primary language.
