Description[?]:
The Paleoconservative wing of the republican party is a staunchly conservative and favours a non interventionist foreign policy. The Paleoconservatives started their own wing beacuse no other republican wing actively supported a non interventionist foreign policy. The wing fully supports Harold Dixon's bid for re-election. Main ideologies: Nationalism Populism Non-Interventionism Tradtionalism Protectionism Faction leaders: Paul Wayne 4505-4508 The first official leader of the Paleoconservative faction within the Republican Party. Paul Ryan served in the navy for 14 years before retiring to become a priest. He increasingly became more political through the years. He gained real media attention when he made a controversial yet succesfull speech in Johnston. The speech was about putting Baltusia first, but he also pointed out that the Republican Party was becoming too moderate.A fter the speech he recieved thousands of mails encouraging him to become the voice of the Paleoconservatives. About a year after the speech in 4505 he offically became the Paleoconservatives first faction leader. During his time as leader of the faction he proposed very many laws and held many rousing speeches. The election of 4508 was approaching rapidly and he held 54 speeches the month leading up to the election. Despite Paul Wayne being a great speaker The Republican party saw a crushing defeat. The Paleoconservatives had done well but the only people they were able to attract were from diffrent parts of The Republican Party and only a few conservative anti-war Democrats. After the election he resigned as faction leader due to his age of 71. He will be remembered as a staunch conservative and for his ability to speak which inspired so many to become active in the faction. Ritchie Willard 4508-? |
