| =================================== PARTI SOCIALISTE KANJORIEN =================================== The Parti Socialiste Kanjorien (Socialist Party of Kanjor), commonly referred to as "Les Rouges" (the Reds) was founded in June 4526 by the Duc de Numineux Arno Victor Dorian. Dorian was lovingly called the "aristo with a heart" because of his altruistic ways, a stark contrast to the rest of the nobility. Dorian has vowed to help transform Kanjor into a nation that, while respecting its traditions and customs, can become a fair, caring and loving mother to all citizens. After disappearing into relative obscurity, a new generation of citizens refounded the party in early 4897. The PSK now stands ready to guide Kanjor into the 50th century. =================================== PSK POLITICAL POSITIONS =================================== The PSK advocates: * Social progressivism * Big government * "Third Way" Economics * Establishing Kanjor as a strong military power * Establishing Kanjor as an honest, open and reliable international partner * Preservation of Kanjori neutrality * A hereditary head of state with clearly defined powers held in check by an empowered parliament, distinct from the head of government * A gradual tax-rate * Seperation of Church and State * Preservation of the nobility, although in a ceremonial function =================================== PSK ORGANIZATION =================================== The party's chairman is elected by direct ballot from its members, and also functions as candidate for head of state during elections. (until the monarchy can be restored) The party's deputy is appointed by the party chairman and also functions as candidate for the head of government. |
