Nation[?]: República Gaduridana (Gaduridos)
Seats[?] in Congreso Nacional de la República de Gaduridos (National Congress of the Republic of Gaduridos)[?]: 0
Color[?]:
Description[?]:
At 2:21 PM Gaduridos Standard Time on January 7, 2543, the 1st Army Division under General Mateo Zambrano declared a Junta and open war against Paddington's government of Gaduridos citing significant failures in services and general policy. During the election of 2543, the Zambrano Junta gained a stronghold in Marligantos. In 2546, Andrew Harris, former Commissar for National Defense, was arrested for treason by the Junta. In 2549, the Zambrano Junta took over for Harris, creating the National Command Authority, staffed by senior officials of the Junta. In 2553, the Zambrano Junta seized the Head of Government position appointing Colonel Juan Martínez de Rozas to fill the role along with five key Ministries: Foreign Affairs filled by Major Fernando Plata, Internal Affairs filled by Captain Juan Antonio Ovalle, Finance filled by Lieutenant Martín Encalada, and Defense filled by General José Miguel Carrera. Four other ministries were seized and handed over to the Free Movement of Gaduridos, a political ally. In the Head of State elections, General Zambrano won the first round, but lost in the second due to widespread ballot stuffing. At 1:39 AM Gaduridos Standard Time on January 7, 2554, the Zambrano Junta declared war on Phillip Langston's government of Gaduridos for treason in attempting to turn the Republic into a religious monarchy. Following a new cabinet, the Junta fortified positions in the Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Finance, and Defense Ministries. In 2575, an aging General Zambrano declared victory for the Junta and transferred all power to the Free Movement of Gaduridos before retiring. Supporters of the proud Junta were please with the relatively uninterrupted governance of the Free Movement along with the elimination of any Vintalliism for a United Gaduridos. With the scourge of Communism and rampant crime taking over the nation, the military has once again heard its call to duty. On December 2, 2659 Lieutenant Colonel Gervasio Antonio de Posadas of the 47th Intelligence Battalion, 1st Army Division, issued orders that he was taking over the intel operations of the nation under the umbrella of the new Supreme Directorate in a bid to return Gaduridos to order and safeguard the nation. These orders were stamped with the Zambrano Junta's coat of arms, an image not seen in 85 years. Additionally, Posadas took the ceremonial title of General, harkening back to the days when Zambrano carried the title. In March 2660, the Posadas Supreme Directorate was catapulted onto the national stage in what political scientists call a democratic military coup. It has yet to be seen what will become of the former government after the Directorate became the largest party and General Gervasio Antonio de Posadas elected head of state. In March 2669, the Posadas Supreme Directorate suffered a coup at the hands of Lieutenant Colonel Carlos María de Alvear in conjunction with Operation Vintalli Test Bed which was a coordinated nuclear attack by the Organization of Chaos, a new party built of the remnants of the Hardline Totalitarian Movement. It has yet to be seen which direction the Posadas Supreme Directorate will take and for who Colonel Alvear is working for. Following the nuclear fallout on Vintalli, experiments at the Military Research and Development Complex in North Vintalli became compromised and caused a virus to spread on the island. Colonel Alvear has evacuated his HQ to Marligantos and sealed Vintalli. He has set up the Alvearista Department of Administrative Security (ADAS). In March 2678, Colonel Alvear won the Head of State elections as the ADAS became the largest party. The first action the Alvearista Department of Administrative Security (ADAS) took was declaring Martial Law in the Disaster Exclusion and Decontamination (DED) Zones of North Vintalli and South Vintalli. At 0518 AM Gaduridos Standard Time, Colonel Alvear in conjunction with senior officials of ADASCOM declared Martial Law in Vintalli. The DED Zones of North Vintalli and South Vintalli have been sealed off to all non-military personnel. All requests for entry must be processed by ADAS Army Intelligence officials (ADASAINT). Currently the administration of the DED Zones of North Vintalli and South Vintalli has been placed under ADASAINT, currently commanded by Brigadier General Ignacio Álvarez Thomas, formerly of the 23rd Intelligence Brigade, 1st Army Division. General Thomas served under Zambrano and was the former commanding officer (CO) and mentor to Colonel Alvear, who has trusted the General with this duty. While General Thomas was also the former CO to General Posadas, General Thomas has denounced the Posadas Supreme Directorate in full and has blamed the recent security situation on the late General. ADAS is committed to the security of the nation and Colonel Alvear has signed this order to prevent the further spread of the MIRDEC Virus (MV) also known as the Posadas Pox. Any questions may be directed to ADASCOM. At 10:51 AM in March 2681 on the day after elections, Colonel Alvear was exiled and Major General Ignacio Álvarez Thomas assumed command of ADAS, only to disband it in favor of ADASAINT, not known as simply DASAINT with de Thomas added. He also ordered the declaration of war on Vintalli. Several subordinate commands were created under DASAINT: (Department of Administrative Security Army Intelligence - Division: led by [Minister]) DASAINTA- Abroad: General Juan Martín de Pueyrredón y O'Dogan DASAINTI- Internal: General José Rondeau DASAINT$- Finance: Lieutenant Colonel Juan Pedro Julián Aguirre y López de Anaya DASAINTDEF- Defense: Major Bernardino Rivadavia DASAINTPOL- Police (Justice): Lieutenant Colonel Vicente López y Planes DASAINTSUP- Supply (Infrastructure & Transport): Major Manuel Dorrego In March 2684, Major General Thomas ascended to Head of State and promoted himself to full General immediately. During his term, Trigunia invaded due to a pirate problem exacerbated by factionalism that tore the nation into near anarchy. In 2693, Thomas assumed the title of Lord Protector of Gaduridos (HoS & HoG) as the Organization de Caos and Dusty Knights dropped out of mainstream politics. In 2696, General Javier Manque de Rosas initiated a coup within DASAINT due to failures to attain the Lord Protectorship and a functional cabinet. General Thomas was placed in prison while many senior officers died in what became the Rose Revolution. The Fuerzas de Rosas took over for DASAINT in 2699. General Rosas won election to become the 3rd Lord Protector of Gaduridos in March 2702. Two months later, the 1st Cabinet of the Rosas Revolution was installed. Las Fuerzas de Rosas controls all government apparatuses of Gaduridos and General Rosas is committed to restore order for the nation under martial law. In January 2706, Lieutenant General Juan Esteban Pedernera took over for General Rosas who was exiled. Four Rosas supporters who were part of the cabinet died. They were: 1. Archbishop Diego Fortunato Sarmiento of Internal Affairs who died of a heart attack outside the country. 2. Gadurijet Senior Vice President Julio Uriburu of Justice. 3. Maiten Victor de Alvear of Health and Social Services. 4. General Pablo Pedro Ramírez of Education and Culture. In 2710, Dr. Juárez Castro of Defense and Vice President Leonardo Gerardo Alcorta of Infrastructure and Transport died. Dr. Castro found the cure to Posadas Pox, known as the Castro Cure. In March, Lieutenant General Pedernera initiated a coup and installed a military junta. All seats of the General's Council were staffed with officers of Los Populistas de Pedernera. A cabinet was soon installed with promotions for the old cabinet as follows: Foreign Affairs, formerly led by General Bartolomé Martin, is now led by General Juan Adolfo Roca who used to lead Finance, now led by General Lichuen Perón who used to lead Food and Agriculture now led by General Alejandro Agustín Lopez. Science and Technology, formerly led by General Edelmiro Fernandez, is now led by General Rafael M. Levingston. Environment and Tourism, formerly led by General Pedro Eugenio Arias is now led by Dr. Héctor Lucho Cámpora. Trade and Industry formerly led by Vice President Adriano Frondizi is now led by General Raúl Alberto Luna. The following vacant posts were also filled: Internal Affairs led by General Edelmiro Fernandez Defense led by General Pedro Eugenio Arias Justice led by Senior Vice President Adriano Frondizi Infrastructure and Transport led by Vice President José María Garcia Health and Social Services led by Dr. Ailín Xavier Illia Education and Culture led by General Juan Carlos Ortiz General Bartolomé Martin also filled the post of Head of Government. On February 6, 2712 Lieutenant General Pedernera assumed the role of Head of Government and took the new title of Chairman of the Junta. General Martin became the Chairman's Adjutant. Additionally, the Junta moved into the "Junta Palace at Hadarville", designating it as the nation's capitol, thereby moving the capital there from North Bentara. Several changes to the country were also made such as the flag, citizenship to property owners, requirement of production of identification cards to officers, mayoral appointments by Lieutenant General Pedernera, nationality definition, and a longer term of office to five years from three. The national legislature was also renamed the Junta and plans were announced to decrease its size from 500 officers to 77. The Pernessia Panther was designated as the new national animal with Wargaming as the new national sport. The flag of the party was also raised as the new state standard. Lieutenant General Pedernera also presented the cure to Posadas Pox, known as the Castro Cure, to the people of Gaduridos so that the country can be rebuilt and Zambrano's Dream can be fulfilled. In January 2715, General Lichuen Perón of Finance had a heart attack and General Raúl Alberto Luna of Trade and Industry died as well. A new cabinet was proposed to fill the vacancies. On February 24, 2715 the Second Cabinet of the Populist Junta was installed as follows: Key: Office - Cabinet Member Chairman's Adjutant - General Bartolomé Martin Foreign Affairs - General Juan Adolfo Roca Internal Affairs - General Edelmiro Fernandez Finance - General Pedro Eugenio Arias Defence - Executive Vice President Adriano Frondizi Justice - Senior Vice President José María Garcia Infrastructure and Transport - Dr. Ailín Xavier Illia Health and Social Services - General Juan Carlos Ortiz Education and Culture - General Rafael M.
