INTRODUCTION:
This treaty is designed to impose harsh sanctions upon any nations that allow slavery or the slave trade to exist within their country. Such actions are fundamentally at odds with our vision for a free and humane international society and have no place within the 43rd century, and are a flagrant violation of universal human rights. One nation engaging in the possession or trade of slaves hurts the entire international community, for it opens up the possibility that citizens of any nation may find themselves slaves.

GOAL:
This treaty will seek to eliminate slavery by the year 4250.

ARTICLE 1: No nation shall engage in the trade of human beings, human trafficking, or the possession of human beings under any circumstances, including as punishment.
ARTICLE 2: Member states will refrain from engaging in any trade with nations that violate article 1.
ARTICLE 3: Member states will seize any assets belonging to citizens of nations in violation of article 1 that are stored within the member state's own country, as the member state sees fit.
ARTICLE 4: Member states will sharply condemn the practice of slavery and the trade of human beings as goods.
