| Name of the Treaty: - Luthorian: Treaty of Mututal Cooperation and Security Assurance between the Republic of Valruzia and the Istalian Republic - Valruzian: Traktat o Wzajemnej Współpracy i Gwarancji Bezpieczeństwa pomiędzy Republiką Walruzyjską i Republiką Istalyjską - Istalian: Trattato di mutua cooperazione e garanzia di protezione tra Repubblica Istaliania e Repubblica Valruziana The Republic of Valruzia and the Istalian Republic, • Desiring to strengthen the bonds of peace and friendship traditionally existing between them, and to uphold the principles of democracy, individual liberty, and the rule of law, • Desiring further to encourage closer economic and military cooperation between them and to promote conditions of economic stability, and integral safety of the Republic of Istalia and the Republic of Valruzia and well-being in their countries, • Convinced about the necessity to strengthen the military cooperation between them in order to ensure the maximum level of safety and integrity of both Republics, • Considering that they have a common concern in the maintenance of international peace and security, • Having resolved to conclude a treaty of mutual cooperation and security assurance, Therefore agree as follows: SECTION I: "On Political, Social and Economic Cooperation" ARTICLE I The Parties will contribute toward the further development of peaceful and friendly international relations by strengthening their free institutions, by bringing about a better understanding of the principles upon which these institutions are founded, and by promoting conditions of stability and well-being. They will seek to eliminate conflict in their international economic policies and will encourage economic collaboration between them. ARTICLE II The Parties, individually and in cooperation with each other, by means of continuous and effective self-help and mutual aid will maintain and develop, subject to their constitutional provisions, their capacities to resist armed attack. ARTICLE III The Parties will consult together from time to time regarding the implementation of this Treaty, and, at the request of either Party, whenever the security of Valruzia, Istalia or international peace and security of any of them is threatened. ARTICLE IV The Parties will initiate comprehensive cooperation between their law enforcement authorities and judicial system in order to fight transnational organized crimes, crimes that infringe the metal and physical integrity of individuals, and crimes which are considered a threat to the security and integrity of any of the Parties. The Parties shall exercise provisions guaranteed by this article by exchanging information and establishing joint investigation teams. SECTION II "On Military Cooperation" ARTICLE V The Parties agree on the establishment of the permanent military presence of Armed Forces of Istalia on the territory of the Republic of Valruzia in order to guarantee the maximum level of safety. ARTICLE VI The Parties agree that the initial number of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Istalia deployed to the Republic of Valruzia, as a permanently stationing contingent will consist of 25.000 soldiers from the Istalian Army, 800 soldiers from the Istalian Navy, and 2.500 soldiers Istalian Air Force. The number of soldiers may be altered by the Ministries of Defense or its adequate couterparts in each country. ARTICLE VII During the stationing in the Republic of Valruzia, soldiers from the Armed Forces of Istalia will engage in military trainigs with the soldiers from the National Forces of Defense of Valruzia and shall carry our joint trainings in different parts of the Republic of Valruzia. ARTICLE VIII During their stationing in the Republic of Valruzia, soldiers from the Armed Forced of Istalia, will be the subject to the Military Law of the Republic of Valruzia and will be obliged to abide by it, and in case of any infringement, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Istalia will be held responsible before Military Courts of the Republic of Valruzia, and will be granted the right to serve the possible sentence on the territory of the Republic of Istalia. ARTICLE IX The Treaty grant both Parties the right to unilaterally withdraw from the Treaty. In case of withdrawal of the Republic of Valruzia or the Istalian Republic from the Treaty, the Military Contingent of the Armed Forces of Istalia loses their right to be stationed on the territory of the Republic of Valruzia and is expected to withdraw from the territory of the Republic of Valruzia. The Government of Valruzia is obliged to provide assistance during the wthdrawal of the Armed Forces of Istalia from the territory of the Republic of Valruzia. |
