Treaty of Friendship, Co-operation and Free Trade Between Vanuku and Pontesi

| Recognising the necessity to co-operate to ensure Terran stability and economic prosperity, His Majesty's Government of Vanuku and The Government of Pontesi do henceforth pledge to adhere to the articles of the following treaty of understanding, co-operation and mutual respect: Article I Both states declare the sovereignty of the other to be inviolable and will take no action, back no action nor support others who seek to undermine the legitimacy of the sovereignty of the other nation; Article II Both states will dispatch embassies and be allowed to establish chanceries in their respective capitals. A further four consulates may be established in other cities; Article III Both states seek closer and more friendly relations and, to that end, both will establish and support cultural and educational exchanges to further these goals; Article IV Both states stand opposed to terrorism, political instability, human trafficking and other forms of transnational crime. The police and relevant judicial institutions of both states will cooperate to take on these scourges; Article V In order to build deeper security ties will, where appropriate, share intelligence and work to increase defence cooperation in all areas. Both nations pledge to not spy or conduct acts of espionage on the other; Article VI Both nations will form a Joint Commission on Transnational Justice and Extradition, consisting of five members from each state and with the mandate to handle, review and decide the requests for extradition between the two parties; Article VII To further economic ties, both nations vow to work together to remove all protectionist trade barriers with the other and promote, trade, investment and tourism in both nations. Trade disputes will be reviewed and handled by the World Congress. |
