Status: ratification[?]
Description[?]
ππππππππ The Government of the Yingdala and the Government of Seko: Reaffirming and recognizing the state of perpetual peace, friendship and cooperation which presently exists between both parties, as officially declared in the Seko-Yingdala Declaration of Friendship (http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=4580); Remaining fully committed strengthening this state of affairs; Locating specific goods and services which correspond to the social and economic development of both countries; Have agreed as follows: πππππππ π. πππππππππ π πππππππππ ππ«ππ’ππ₯π π This agreement is established taking account of the political, social, economic and legal asymmetries between the two countries. Seko, over the course of development following the Constitutional Referendum of 4740, has created mechanisms to protect the dominance of the co-operative sector and protect the condition of labour relations as mandated in the Constitution of Seko. Additionally, the laws of Seko prohibit the production and importation of genetically-modified crops. Yingdala, for its part, is a member of international institutions Seko does not belong to, and largely ascribes to a wu wei ("without action") economic system, all factors which must be taken into consideration when applying the principle of reciprocity in any trade and financial agreements made between the two countries. ππ«ππ’ππ₯π π Seko proposed the adoption of a number of measures aimed at expanding the integration between the two countries and as an expression of the spirit of the Declaration of Friendship. This proposal was understood and accepted in a fraternal and friendly manner by Yingdala as a constructive gesture which demonstrates the great reciprocal trust which exists between the two countries. ππ«ππ’ππ₯π π Seko proposed the following measures: (a) Seko shall reduce importation tariffs with regard to non-GMO tea (meaning any product manufactured from the leaf of any non-GMO variety of camellia sinensis, or any derivative thereof which is recognized and traded in the international tea markets as such) cultivated and produced in Yingdala by 40%. (b) Seko shall reduce importation tariffs with regard to non-GMO cotton fibre (meaning any fibre that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaceae) cultivated and produced in Yingdala by 20%. (c) Seko shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to spices (seed, fruit, root, bark, or other plant substance primarily used for flavouring, colouring or preserving food) cultivated and produced in Yingdala. (d) Seko shall reduce importation tariffs with regard to non-GMO deciduous fruits including pears, apricots, plums, jujubes, figs, jackfruits, lychee, chestnuts, mangoes and grapes cultivated and produced in Yingdala by 75%. (e) Seko shall reduce importation tariffs with regard to non-GMO citrus fruits excluding kabosu, yuzu, sudachi, and daidai originating from Yingdala by 75%. (f) Seko shall reduce importation tariffs with regard to non-GMO soft fruits (berries) including passion fruit, goji berries, Yingdalan gooseberry, bananas, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and currants originating from Yingdala by 75%. (g) Seko shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to non-GMO medicinal herbs used in Sekowan traditional medicine originating from Yingdala. (h) Seko shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to non-GMO coffee beans cultivated and produced in Yingdala. (i) Seko will collaborate with Yingdala in research projects regarding biodiversity. ππ«ππ’ππ₯π π Yingdala, for its part, proposed the following measures which seek to achieve the same objectives as were set forth in Article 2 of this agreement: (a) Yingdala shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to non-GMO tea (meaning any product manufactured from the leaf of any non-GMO variety of camellia sinensis, or any derivative thereof which is recognized and traded in the international tea markets as such) cultivated and produced in Seko. (b) Yingdala shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to cotton fibre (meaning any fibre that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaceae) originating from Seko. (c) Yingdala shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to industrial hemp (meaning any product manufactured from a variety Cannabis sativa, or any derivative thereof) originating from Seko. (d) Yingdala shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to all non-GMO deciduous fruits cultivated and produced in Seko. (e) Yingdala shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to all non-GMO citrus fruits such as, but not limited to pomelos, fingered citron, kabosu, yuzu, sudachi, daidai cultivated and produced in Seko. (f) Yingdala shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to all other non-GMO fruits cultivated and produced in Seko. (g) Yingdala shall eliminate all importation tariffs with regard to non-GMO medicinal herbs used in Yingdalan traditional medicine originating in Seko. Yingdala shall further provide 1,000 scholarships to Sekowan students seeking to study Yingdalan traditional medicine at an accredited Yingdalan institution. (h) Yingdala will collaborate with Seko in research projects regarding biodiversity. (i) Yingdala will donate $200,000,000 for Seko to use to finance productive and associated infrastructure projects. Yingdala will donate an additional $50,000,000 to look after the social and productive necessities of the Sekowan people as decided by their Government. This is a one-time donation. (j) Yingdala shall endeavour to create additional avenues for the Sekowan government to obtain access to credit at a low and preferential interest rate. ππ«ππ’ππ₯π π Both Seko and Yingdala have agreed to the measures proposed by each party, which shall come into effect with the ratification of this agreement. πππππππ ππ. πππππππ πππππ πππππππππππ ππ«ππ’ππ₯π π The Takeda Tea Accord will further entrench a commitment to child labour as stipulated in the addendum of this document (OOC: the in-game articles). πππππππ πππ. ππππππππππ πππππππππ ππ«ππ’ππ₯π π Either country may withdraw from this Accord by initiating this article in a written communication addressed from the Head of State of the exiting country to the Head of State of the other country. After a country withdraws from this agreement legislatively, a one-year period of gradual reimplementation of all barriers lowered by this agreement shall take place, subject to the laws of the respective countries. |
